June 2006

It was a toss up to name this entry as Frozen in Time or This is what I call a Paw-ty.

I love this picture taken at Leo, Russell and Bear’s barkday paw-ty a couple of weeks back by Aunty V.

Pool Party - Are you ready for summer?

There’s thousand and one things happening all at the same time. It is clear that everyone is having a blast. And the most heart-warming part is that all the dogs in the picture, except for Leo was abandoned and has been successfully re-homed, thanks to the efforts of mainly Aunty A and Aunty V.

want to muzzle me when i step out of my house?

You wait long long okies? Know what you can and cannot do first.

You have picked on the wrong person and dog to bully.

While S is an Italia supporter… in my heart.. i was supporting the Socceroos… after all.. i’m Australian-born.

I wouldn’t have missed the Italy vs Australia world cup match for the world.

Cheering for the Socceroos...It was nerve wrecking up till the very last minute.. when the penalty kick was awarded. It was a costly mistake.

A nerve wrecking moment...

However, i felt that the Socceroos performed really well and managed to control the game really well and didn’t let the italians bulldoze them.

Well.. looks like i’d get to wear my jeresy till the quarter-finals.. then we’d see how italy performs!

Banana Oats Woofles that is…

The Finished Woofles

Made from bananas, oats, flour and honey with a pinch of cinnamon and vanilla, they taste great.

Best of all? S says that they are really easy to make.. takes less than 10 mins to make the dough.

Kingsley stealing one woofles

Note to S… please continue to use the tablespoon instead of teaspoon as stated in the receipe to shape the dough. That way.. i get giantic pieces!

S got a magic box and all kinds of wonderful things have been going in and coming out of it.

Don’t believe me?

Muffins for kingsley and friends

This was the only picture that S could take of me.. cos i just can’t wait to sink my teeth into them.
Yummy cheese muffins

BTW.. both humans and dog got meatballs last night too!

Edit – receipe can be found here

Say “Cheese!” Tail Chasers

Yum–these taste so gouda! An “it’s-all-about-me” treat for dogs who like to strut their stuff for the puparazzi–or the cat next door.

Gossip columnists in the world of canine celebrities constantly hound us for tempting tidbits or mouthwatering morsels. These muffins are often just
the dish they’re looking for.

Open Wide

Did you know that to get a serious visit-to-the-dentist’s-office kind of teeth cleaning, a dog must be anesthetized completely?

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 large egg
1/2 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup grated light cheddar cheese

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan with nonstick vegetable spray.

Stir together the flours and baking powder in a large bowl and set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, oil, and honey with 1 cup of water until smooth. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Gently fold in the cheese.

Fill the muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Cool to room temperature before serving.

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or wrap well and freeze for up to 2 months. (Thaw before serving.)

i broke my own feeding bowl last night.. and S is upset with me.

1. Cos i climbed the counter and dragged my food down when she was out of the house – cos it was the yummy home cooked food (so it's not my fault)

2. Cos S lugged it back from Disneyland over 10 years ago.

3. Cos it used to belong to Tori – S's beloved silky before me.

4. Cos someone else just mentioned that it was a very lovely bowl.

Broken bowl

it shattered into a million pieces… if only i can find one to replace it.
