i'm still upset over Kendra's incident. Did you know that Mr. Kua and Kendra actually went to the National Library and so did other WORKIING dogs? And in a pure coincidence, S was reading some guide dog books that she borrowed from the library last week. The book talks about the birth of the potential guide dog to selection, training and eventually retirement.

Some of the things that i found out.

  1. Guide dogs are fed at a fix time daily.. so that their handlers know when they need to go.
  2. Guide dogs can go and do their business at a fix spot and time by their handlers
  3. They are to lead their handlers to an empty seat in a resturant/eatery

i admire those guide dogs.. and S has compiled a book list of books on guide dogs too. So, do read up more.. hopefully people out there will be more AWARE.
